The hearing examiner grants the applicant’s request for delay until November and orders the applicant and Clallam County to inform the hearing examiner by October 21, 2022, about the status of the application and the date for the hearing. He also denies all motions filed on July 12 (see below).

The applicant for the transfer station asks to delay the public hearing until November 2022. In that request, it says the applicant has started discussions with Clallam County Department of Community Development (DCD) about changing the staff report.

In an open letter to the hearing examiner, the Clallam County Economic Development Council opposes the transfer station. The EDC analyzes the need for a transfer station and concludes that the proposal is inconsistent with the Clallam County Solid Waste Management Plan.
